 AN ACT
 relating to a requirement that each state university's Internet
 website include a link to certain employment data.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Subchapter Z, Chapter 51, Education Code, is
 amended by adding Section 51.9746 to read as follows:
 Sec. 51.9746.  INTERNET ACCESS TO EMPLOYMENT DATA. (a) In
 this section, "general academic teaching institution" and "public
 state college" have the meanings assigned by Section 61.003.
 (b)  Each general academic teaching institution other than a
 public state college shall maintain in a prominent location on the
 institution's Internet website a link to the Texas Consumer
 Resource for Education and Workforce Statistics ("Texas CREWS")
 report on gainful employment applicable to the institution for the
 most recent year for which that report is available.
 SECTION 2.  Each general academic teaching institution other
 than a public state college shall comply with Section 51.9746,
 Education Code, as added by this Act, as soon as practicable
 following the effective date of this Act, but not later than
 February 1, 2016.
 SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
 Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
