Dutton, Jr., Chair, House Committee on Juvenile Justice & Family Issues      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1460 by Thompson, Senfronia (Relating to a temporary restraining order for preservation of property and protection of the parties in a suit for the dissolution of marriage.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Section 6.501(a) of the Family Code relating to a temporary restraining order in a suit for dissolution of marriage. The bill updates the section of prohibited acts to include certain electronic communications, electronic records, and intellectual property. The bill also adds additional prohibited acts to the section. The Office of Court Administration does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact to the state court system resulting from the bill. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.  Local Government Impact No significant fiscal impact to local courts is anticipated.
