The bill would amend the Government Code to require that a court reporter may not file an official transcript of a trial before the 60th day after the date of notice of appeal is filed, except for cases of an accelerated or interlocutory appeal. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
