The bill amends Chapter 156 of the Family Code to require a person who files a motion for a temporary order, which makes certain allegations, to attach an affidavit to the motion which states the individual's basis for those allegations. The bill would also require the court to take certain actions based on the attached affidavit. The Office of Court Administration anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the state court system resulting from this bill. The bill would go into effect on September 1, 2015.
