                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 6, 2015      TO: Honorable Larry Phillips, Chair, House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1525 by Farrar (Relating to the collection and reporting of information relating to certain offenses involving family violence.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code to require the Department of Public Safety to compile and maintain statistical information on offenses involving family violence and submit an annual report on this statistical information to the legislature. It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
