The bill would amend Election Code to restrict a candidate or committee from expending a political contribution exceeding $5,000 from a single source within 30 days of an election until the contribution is reported to the Ethics Commission and posted on the agency's website. The agency indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
