                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 5, 2015      TO: Honorable Larry Phillips, Chair, House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1561 by Schaefer (Relating to the exemption from certain security licensure of certain persons who provide security services on a volunteer basis at a church or religious organization.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code to exempt from certain security licensure volunteers who provide security at certain places of worship. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015. It is assumed that any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
