A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the appraisal for ad valorem tax purposes of qualified
timber land.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 23.75, Tax Code, is amended by adding
Subsection (g-1) to read as follows:
(g-1) If the chief appraiser requests that an applicant
submit a written management plan as part of the application or makes
such a request as part of a request for additional information under
Section 23.79, the chief appraiser must provide the applicant with
a comprehensive list of the public and private entities that
provide professional forest management services to owners of land
located in the appraisal district.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 2016.
