The bill would amend the Transportation Code to specify that the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) may not charge a fee for furnishing the Texas Airport Directory. The bill would specify that TxDOT is not required to issue more than 110 percent of the number of directories issued in the preceding state fiscal year. The bill would repeal Section 21.004, Transportation Code, which establishes the Texas Aviation Operating Account in the State Highway Fund to receive money from the sale of advertising in the Texas Airport Directory.Based on the analysis and information provided by TxDOT, it is assumed the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the state. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
