The bill would amend the Local Government Code to require a certain local governmental entities to notify a military base or facility relating to the compatibility of certain proposed ordinances or application of local permits with base operations. The bill would permit a local governmental entity to enter into a memorandum of agreement with a military base to establish a smaller area in the controlled compatible land use area. The bill would require a local governmental entity to enter into a memorandum of agreement with a military base or defense facility to establish provisions to maintain compatibility of the proposed ordinance or rule. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
