The bill would amend the Local Government Code to require a certain local governmental entities to notify a military base or facility relating to the compatibility of certain proposed ordinances or application of local permits with base operations. The bill would permit a local governmental entity to enter into a memorandum of agreement with a military base to establish a smaller area in the controlled compatible land use area. The bill would require a local governmental entity to enter into a memorandum of agreement with a military base or defense facility to establish provisions to maintain compatibility of the proposed ordinance or rule.
