Smithee, Chair, House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1660 by Moody (Relating to certain protective orders and magistrate's orders for emergency protection.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure, relating to certain protective orders and magistrate's orders for emergency protection. The bill would create requirements for timely notice of orders entered by magistrates to law enforcement and other recipients, as well as adding electronic submission requirements. The Office of Court Administration and the Department of Public Safety (DPS) indicate no significant fiscal implication to either the court system or DPS is anticipated. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
