                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 27, 2015      TO: Honorable Wayne Smith, Chair, House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1683 by Bohac (Relating to an identifying number assigned to a notary public by the secretary of state.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code to require the Secretary of State to assign each notary public an identifying number.  The Secretary of State indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources. The bill would take effect January 1, 2016.
