The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) notify each member of the House and Senate and county judge if TxDOT is notified of an application for an electric railway project or of intent to prepare an environmental impact statement for an electric railway project that would directly affect a district or county the member or judge represents.Based on the information provided by TxDOT, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
