The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to eliminate the statute of limitations for aggravated sexual assault crimes and for sexual assault crimes if probable cause exists that the defendant committed the same or a similar sexual offense against five or more victims.Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
