The bill would amend the Parks and Wildlife Code to exempt certain water transfers undertaken by a political subdivision from certain regulations relating to importing, possessing, selling, or placing into public waters potentially harmful fish or shellfish. Based on information provided by the Parks and Wildlife Department, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing resources.
