                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 30, 2015      TO: Honorable Charles Perry, Chair, Senate Committee on Agriculture, Water & Rural Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1934 by Kacal (Relating to the Beef Promotion and Research Council of Texas.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Agriculture Code to provide that the Beef Promotion and Research Council (BPRC) of Texas may conduct meetings by telephone conference call, subject to notification requirements as described.  Open meetings would have real-time audibility requirements and tape recordings would be available afterwards. The Texas Department of Agriculture indicates the agency could reasonably absorb any costs related to implementing bill provisions within the agency's existing resources.
