                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 2, 2015      TO: Honorable John Zerwas, Chair, House Committee on Higher Education      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB197 by Price (Relating to requiring a public institution of higher education to post information regarding mental health resources on the institution's Internet website.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would require institutions of higher education to create a web page on the institution's website dedicated solely to information regarding the mental health resources available to students at the institution.  The site also must include the address of the nearest local mental health authority. This analysis assumes that any costs for institutions of higher education to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
