The bill would amend the Election Code to require the Secretary of State to directly reimburse certain elections officials for expenses related to primary elections. The Secretary of State indicates the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015. Local Government Impact According to the Texas Association of Counties, the bill may have a positive fiscal impact to counties; however, fiscal impact is not anticipated to be significant.
