The bill would amend Chapter 42 of the Human Resources Code as it relates to the public notice and hearing requirements for licensing certain foster homes.  The bill would allow the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) to waive the notice and hearing requirements for an applicant meeting certain criteria.  DFPS indicates the provisions of the bill can be implemented within existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
