The bill would amend various codes to require that a defendant whose license is suspended for certain alcohol related offenses obtain and use an ignition interlock device if the defendant applies for and receives an occupational driver's license. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015. It is assumed that implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
