                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 29, 2015      TO: Honorable Allen Fletcher, Chair, House Committee on Emerging Issues In Texas Law Enforcement, Select      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2279 by Walle (Relating to child and adolescent interaction education and training for certain peace and reserve law enforcement officers.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code to require a law enforcement officer to complete a training program on techniques to facilitate interactions with children, adolescents, and teenagers within the timeframe provided by current law. It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources.
