The bill would expand eligibility for the Optional Flexible School Day Program (OFSDP) by permitting school districts to provide an OFSDP for a campus or campuses that would benefit from the program. The bill would eliminate the required application to participate in the OFSDP.The Texas Education Agency anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources. The bill would apply beginning with the 2015-16 school year. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
