This bill would require state agencies, to the extent practicable, to develop policies that support breastfeeding at agency worksites. The bill also would specify that a mother is entitled to breast-feed her baby in any location where the mother and baby were otherwise authorized to be. The bill would establish a civil cause of action if the mother was denied that entitlement. The owner of a private home in which a violation occurred could not be held liable.It is assumed that costs associated with implementing provisions of the bill would not be significant and could be absorbed using existing resources.
