                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 13, 2015      TO: Honorable Kevin Eltife, Chair, Senate Committee on Business & Commerce      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2358 by Lucio III (Relating to the exemption from certain registration and licensing requirements and taxes for certain businesses and employees who enter this state in response to a disaster or emergency.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Business & Commerce Code and the Tax Code to exempt from certain registration and licensing requirements and taxes certain businesses and employees who enter the state in response to a disaster or emergency. The exemptions would not apply for an out-of-state business entity or an affiliated in-state business entity who remains in the state after a disaster response. It is assumed the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the state's revenues. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
