                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 29, 2015      TO: Honorable Myra Crownover, Chair, House Committee on Public Health      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2602 by Coleman (Relating to the prescribing and ordering of Schedule II controlled substances by certain advance practice registered nurses and physician assistants.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the prescribing and ordering of Schedule II controlled substances by certain advanced practice registered nurses and physician assistants. Based on information provided by the Texas Medical Board, the Board of Nursing, the Board of Pharmacy and the Department of State Health Services, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
