                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 21, 2015      TO: Honorable Susan Lewis King, Chair, House Committee on Defense & Veterans' Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2605 by Aycock (Relating to the issuance of Gold Star family member specialty license plates; eliminating a fee.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would repeal Subsections 504.512 (a-1) and (b) of the Transportation Code, regarding the $10 fee for issuance of "Gold Star Mother," "Gold Star Father," "Gold Star Spouse" specialty license plates and discontinue issuance of the "Gold Star Family" specialty license plate. Based on the information and analysis provided by the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Comptroller's office, it is assumed the elimination of the fee for the specialty license plates would not result in a significant impact to state or local revenue.
