                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 25, 2015      TO: Honorable Allen Fletcher, Chair, House Committee on Emerging Issues In Texas Law Enforcement, Select      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2614 by Dutton (Relating to a peace officer training advisory committee.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code to create the officer training advisory committee, which consists of seven members of the legislature. The committee would be required to study the training programs TCOLE establishes and maintains for officers who are required to hold a law enforcement license. Not later than December 1, 2016, the bill would require the committee to report the study's findings and recommendations to the members of the legislature. It is assumed the costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill can be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
