Dutton, Jr., Chair, House Committee on Juvenile Justice & Family Issues      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2616 by Dutton (Relating to procedures related to juvenile justice proceedings; increasing the punishment for certain delinquent conduct.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Family Code and Human Resources Code relating to juvenile justice functions, including probation supervision of determinate sentenced youth. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015. This analysis assumes that any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within agency resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
