                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 11, 2015      TO: Honorable Richard Peña Raymond, Chair, House Committee on Human Services      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2903 by Davis, Sarah (Relating to training requirements for certain child-care workers.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend minimum training standards for employees, directors and operators of certain child care facilities under Chapter 42, Human Resources Code, by increasing the number of training hours required and adding provisions regarding how long before the training must be completed.  The training could be completed in person or online. The Department of Family and Protective Services indicates that costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
