The bill would amend the Education Code relating to authorizing a recreation and wellness fee at the University of Houston - Clear Lake. According to the University of Houston System, the fee is not anticipated to be assessed until fiscal year 2017. The estimate assumes revenues of $2.3 million in fiscal years 2017 and 2018 and $2.4 million in fiscal years 2019 and 2020.
