                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 22, 2015      TO: Honorable Charles Schwertner, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2950 by Klick (Relating to the Task Force on Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response.), Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Health and Safety Code to establish in statute the Task Force on Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response as an advisory board to the Department of State Health Services. The bill would direct certain duties, eligibility of membership, and reporting and meeting requirements of the task force. The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving two-thirds majority vote in each house. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2015.This analysis assumes that any costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
