                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 21, 2015      TO: Honorable Jim Keffer, Chair, House Committee on Natural Resources      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2985 by Israel (Relating to requiring the election of directors of certain districts to be held on a uniform election date.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Election Code to require the election of board directors of certain water districts to be held on a uniform election date.  Local Government Impact Certain water districts may experience increased election costs due to a higher voter turnout on the November uniform election date.
