                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 22, 2015      TO: Honorable Angie Chen Button, Chair, House Committee on Economic & Small Business Development      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2996 by Guillen (Relating to the employment of individuals qualified for a veteran's employment preference.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  This bill would amend the Government Code regarding veteran's employment preferences. Among its provisions, the bill would specify which individuals are eligible for the veteran's employment preference and which state agencies must offer the veteran's employment preference. It is assumed that any additional costs associated with the implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
