The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to conduct a study on the accuracy of the Legislative Budget Board's estimate for cost savings resulting from the changes in law made by Chapter 7 (SB7), Acts of the 82nd Legislature, 1st Called Session, 2011. HHSC would be required to submit a report of the findings to the governor, lieutenant governor, and speaker of the house of representatives by December 31, 2016. It is assumed that HHSC could implement the provisions of the bill within existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
