                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 23, 2015      TO: Honorable Garnet Coleman, Chair, House Committee on County Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB316 by Canales (Relating to allowing a county commissioners court to contract with an attorney to enforce subdivision platting requirements in certain counties that are economically distressed or that are located near the international border of this state.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Local Government Code to authorize a county commissioners court to contract with a licensed attorney to enforce subdivision platting requirements in counties that are economically distressed or that are located near the international border of this state; and to recover civil penalties, attorney's fees, litigation costs, and investigation costs. According to the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state is anticipated. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
