The bill would amend the Local Government Code to require the governing body of certain commissions to offer an ex officio, non voting membership on the governing body to each member of the legislature who represents a district located wholly or partly in the region of the commission. The bill would specify that an ex officio member is not counted for the purposes of determining a quorum. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
