The bill would amend the Government Code to require certain entities who employ qualified retired law enforcement officers as peace officers to issue an identification card to the officers. The bill sets for the requirements of the identification card. The bill would require certain entities to reissue certain cards if a card is lost or stolen if an officer submits an affidavit stating the card was lost or stolen. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.The County of Dallas and Bexar reported no significant fiscal impact is anticipated.
