                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 6, 2015      TO: Honorable Kel Seliger, Chair, Senate Committee on Higher Education      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3245 by Crownover (Relating to qualified nonprofit corporations acting for and on behalf of two or more cities.), As Engrossed    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Education Code to authorize a nonprofit corporation to withdraw from acting on behalf of a municipality at the consent of the municipality's governing body. After the withdrawl, the municipality would be prohibited from involvement with certain functions of the nonprofit corporation.
