                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 10, 2015      TO: Honorable Jodie Laubenberg, Chair, House Committee on Elections      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3269 by Herrero (Relating to the participation in the countywide polling place program.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Election Code to require the Secretary of State to remove certain restrictions to allow counties to participate in the countywide polling place program. The Secretary of State indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
