                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 18, 2015      TO: Honorable Robert Nichols, Chair, Senate Committee on Transportation      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3283 by Zerwas (Relating to contributions and registrations for an anatomical gift registry; authorizing a fee.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code to allow individuals who are obtaining their driver's licenses to donate any amount to the anatomical gift registry. Funds collected for this purpose are deposited with the Comptroller to the credit of the Glenda Dawson Donate Life - Texas Registry Fund. The Department of Public Safety has indicated the estimated revenue increase resulting from the bill is indeterminate because these donations are voluntary and the amount of donation would vary among individuals. It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within current agency resources.  Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
