                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 25, 2015      TO: Honorable Allen Fletcher, Chair, House Committee on Emerging Issues In Texas Law Enforcement, Select      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3317 by Sanford (Relating to continuing education requirements regarding autism awareness for peace officers.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code to require peace officers to complete a training and education program related to autism awareness once every two years. This analysis assumes that implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing Commission on Law Enforcement resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
