                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 29, 2015      TO: Honorable Byron Cook, Chair, House Committee on State Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3396 by Phillips (Relating to the reporting requirements for a person who makes direct campaign expenditures.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Election code to increase the threshold for reporting of a direct campaign expenditure on a campaign finance report with the Ethics Commission . It's assumed that any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
