                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 4, 2015      TO: Honorable Susan Lewis King, Chair, House Committee on Defense & Veterans' Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3404 by Thompson, Senfronia (Relating to a study on providing care to veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to conduct a study and submit a report on the benefits of providing integrated care to veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder. The bill allows HHSC to coordinate with a university if needed. Based on the analysis provided by HHSC, the University of Texas System Administration, and the Texas A&M System Administration, it is assumed that the provisions of the bill related to these agencies and institutions can be implemented within existing resources. The Higher Education Coordinating Board indicates that the bill will have no fiscal impact on the agency. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
