                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 27, 2015      TO: Honorable Abel Herrero, Chair, House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3455 by González, Mary (Relating to the rights of victims of sexual assault.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to clarify and expand the rights of a victim of sexual assault; codify a state policy regarding the rights of assault victims; and extend the time from 96 hours to 120 hours after the assault for making a report to law enforcement. It is assumed the costs of implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources.   Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
