                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 13, 2015      TO: Honorable Joan Huffman, Chair, Senate Committee on State Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3517 by Davis, Sarah (Relating to requirements governing registration and authorized activities of certain lobbyists; expanding the applicability of an occupational registration.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Government Code related to the registration of lobbyists required to file with the Ethics Commission. The Ethics Commission indicates that any costs associated with the implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.The bill would take effect September 1, 2015, and would apply only to those required to register as a lobbyist on or after January 1, 2016.
