LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION April 9, 2015 TO: Honorable Wayne Smith, Chair, House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE:HB367 by Villalba (Relating to consumption of alcoholic beverages in certain entertainment facilities.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. Local Government Impact At the current time, the bill's provisions would affect only the American Airlines Center in Dallas. That center does not have an arena-wide mixed beverage permit; therefore, patrons cannot move with an alcoholic beverage into and out of the mixed beverage areas of the venues, and the bill would allow them to do so. This analysis assumes that the number of alcoholic beverages consumed and the permit type under which each would be purchased would remain the same as under current law.
