The bill would amend Government Code to require the Ethics Commission to categorize reporting violations into three levels based on the seriousness of the violation, and to adopt rules defining which violations would be included in each category. Any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within current agency resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
