The bill would amend the Transportation Code to modify an offense, punishable by a fine of $100 to $300, of a railway company obstructing a street or crossing for more than 10 minutes and as a result an authorized emergency vehicle is prevented from taking the most direct route to an emergency. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
