This bill would amend the Water Code relating to the functions of the Public Utility Commission of Texas in relation to the economic regulation of water and sewer service. Based on information provided by the Public Utility Commission, Commission on Environmental Quality, and State Office of Administrative Hearings, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
