                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 27, 2015      TO: Honorable Myra Crownover, Chair, House Committee on Public Health      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3999 by Naishtat (Relating to the exemption of certain persons from licensure as a professional counselor or social worker.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code as it relates to certain exemptions from licensure as a professional counselor or social worker. The Department of State Health Services indicates that any increase in workload associated with updating public information related to licensure exemptions can be accomplished within existing resources. This analysis assumes there would not be a significant increase in the number of persons seeking licensure as a professional counselor or social worker.
